The Foghorn Duo features Caleb Klauder and Stephen "Sammy" Lind trading off on vocals, guitar, mandolin, fiddle and banjo. The pair began playing music together in the spring of 2000 and has since performed traditional American Old Time music all over the globe with their band Foghorn Stringband. Always re-energizing their music, you may find them sharing the stage with other talented musicians stateside, across the Atlantic or at the Moon and Sixpence on a Sunday night where they have fine-tuned their distinct and energetic style of Country and Old Time music over the past ten years.
The Foghorn Duo’s sound is simple and honest with intertwining harmonies similar to the Carter Family and the Stanley Brothers. Over the years, The Foghorn Duo has played all over the world with The Foghorn Stringband, Dirk Powell and most recently with "Going Across the Sea". They've opened for acts such as Iris Dement, David Bromberg, and the Del McCoury Band and have shared the stage with Tim O'Brien, Kevin Burke, The Wilders, Uncle Earl, and Justin Townes Earle. The Foghorn Duo regularly collaborates with Dirk Powell, Riley Baugus, Betse Ellis, Reyna Gellert, and Justin Townes Earle.
The Foghorn Duo has toured extensively throughout the US, the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Malaysia playing a variety of stages including the Tonder Music Festival, the Newport Folk Festival, the Rainforest World Music Festival, the Chicago Folk and Roots Festival, Pick-a-thon Roots Music Festival, The Seattle Folk Life Festival, The Bristol Rhythm and Roots Festival, Bumbershoot and the ROMP Festival.
